Elements Overview

Learn how to make and use prebuilt elements with your chosen framework or site. Elements are components and containers packaged as one item, giving you all the benefits with less work. They allow for quicker turnaround time on your site.

Section Elements

To turn a content section into an element, locate the content section you would like, and then click the gear icon in the top right of the section as shown in the two images below.

Next, select the Elements tab. That will be the second tab in the list as shown in the blue highlight in this image.

Add a name and description to make it easier for you or someone else to know the element before dragging it onto a page.

Saved Elements

You can find your newly saved element in the elements section, within the containers tab. 

Drag that element into the section of your page you want it in just as you would a regular container or component.

Container group elements function the same way!

Container Group Elements

Section elements tend to be a bit larger, but you can do that if you only want to save a container group and the components inside as an element.

Click the gear icon on the left side of the container group to edit this group, or in this example turn it into an element.

Save the element the same way you would a section element. It will be available in the same list that your other element was saved to.
